The Color of Palo Alto
Professional artist Samuel Yates came to Spin three years ago with his newest project that was an incredible process that he had been working on for 5 years prior. Yates photographed every parcel of land in Silicon Valley, ending up with thousands of photographs.
The average color of all 17,860 photographs became paint colors, then pixel colors and eventually referred to as the “Color of Palo Alto.” Accurate color was critical to the massive size prints required.
The final artistic vision was the full perforated vinyl wrap on the side of the eight story city hall in Palo Alto, California.
This project was so detailed and complex, we invite you to discover more by visiting Yates’ website at http://www.samuelyates.com
